COMPUTER: Creating and Managing Group Chats
Using Chat, you can message individuals and the team/group in real-time. Group chats can be customized to include specific participants, such as parents or players, depending on the purpose.
In the left column, click the team or group.
Click the blue Team Chat or Group Chat button under the cover photo, located to the right. Note: Depending on the team settings, only team admins can create custom group chats or chats with more than two participants.
TIP: Admin can click Disable Replies in the lower right when creating a chat. Additionally, admins have the ability to manage permissions and restrict chat creation to specific roles.
TIP: You can rename your chat and choose the members you would like to receive it. Ensure that only the intended recipients are selected to maintain privacy and relevance of the chat.
APP
In the bottom tray, select the Chat tab
Tap floating blue button in the bottom right.
Select Team/Group Chat
Select your team or group
In the upper right, tap Start, and create your message. Note: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to create a chat. If the "Create" button is not visible, verify your role and refresh the app.
TIP: Default team settings only allow Admins to start team chats and admins can also customize these settings to allow other roles to initiate chats. If you encounter issues, check your permissions or contact an admin.
