Transferring Ownership of a Team
If you are the creator of a team and wish to leave, you can transfer ownership to another member. The process varies slightly depending on the platform you are using:
On the APP Platform:
Go to the Teams/Groups section.
Select Members under the team banner photo.
Tap the three-dots menu next to your name.
Choose Change Team Role and assign a new role to another member.
On the WEB Platform:
Open your Team/Group page.
Click on Members under the team banner photo.
Use the six-dots menu next to your name to drag and assign a new role to another member.
Before You Leave the Team
Once another member has admin rights, the new admin should regenerate the team QR code. This invalidates the old join link so former coaching staff can't rejoin. After that, you can leave the team, and team management will be in the new owner's hands.
Tip: We recommend that athletic administrators are always admins of sportsYou teams (in addition to coaches). It makes handoffs much easier.
